A Message from Hailey, Head Trainer at Elite K9 Training

Hi, I’m Hailey—founder and head trainer of Elite K9 Training. My passion for animals started early, growing up surrounded by dogs of all breeds, personalities, and energy levels. Those early experiences built the foundation for what would become a lifelong commitment to understanding and working with dogs.

My journey into professional training truly began with my first dog, Luna—a Pitbull/American Staffordshire Terrier mix I adopted from a local rescue at just four months old. From the start, Luna showed incredible intelligence and intuition. What began as basic obedience training quickly grew into something more, as I realized her potential and began preparing her for service work. By the time she was a year old, Luna had become not only a well-trained companion, but also my partner. Today, she serves as my demo dog and plays an important role in helping clients and their dogs succeed.

As my pack grew, so did my experience. I welcomed Layla, a Great Pyrenees, and Winchester, a Belgian Malinois/Pitbull mix who came to me with fear-based aggression toward people and other dogs. Working through Winchester’s challenges deepened my understanding of canine behavior and pushed me to pursue professional certification as a trainer and behavior consultant.

That experience shaped my mission: to help dogs and their owners overcome behavioral challenges and build lasting, trusting relationships. I specialize in working with issues such as aggression, reactivity, and resource guarding, as well as foundational obedience for dogs of all ages.

I’ve had the privilege of working with a wide range of breeds—from high-drive working dogs like Belgian Malinois to family companions. I also take pride in supporting local rescues, helping dogs develop the skills they need to find and thrive in their forever homes.

Too often, dogs are surrendered or euthanized due to behavioral issues that can be improved with the right guidance. My goal is to change that—one dog, and one family, at a time.
